Established in 1842 in the town of Herndon, located in Saline county Missouri.

History

A covered wagon made its way slowly down a dirt road. The driver asked a farmer along the way if there was a place he could bury his little daughter, who had died in the wagon during the night. The farmers wife, Mrs. Harrison Masters, knew people would be moving into this new country and a burial ground would be needed. She donated 3 acres of her land that is now know as Hazel Grove Cemetery.
